Ten years after it was founded, EMASPHERE welcomes Bart Baute as its new CEO.
A nominee for Scale-up of the Year 2022, EMASPHERE was founded ten years ago with the ambition of making Excel files obsolete for financial reporting. EMASPHERE was led by its two founders until 2021, and by Hugues Vandepeutte alone until the end of October 2023. He has now officially handed over the reins to the current COO, Bart Baute (33).
"Promoting Bart to CEO was an obvious choice for me. Bart has been an integral part of EMASPHERE from the very beginning. Our shared values, such as respect and professionalism, only strengthened that choice. We also have complementary profiles: I know the CFO role inside out because I was a CFO myself, and Bart has a deep understanding of the challenges CFOs face because he has met thousands of them over the past seven years," says Hugues Vandepeutte.

Over the past nine months, Hugues has worked meticulously to prepare for a smooth transition. After this preparation period, Bart is now ready to take over.
"We obviously want to accelerate our growth, with a particular focus on Luxembourg and the United Kingdom," says Bart Baute. "We can only do that by continuing to innovate for our customers and partners."
EMASPHERE offers a Software-as-a-Service solution connected directly to various systems (accounting, HR, sales...) and provides a range of ready-to-use reports. These can also be fully customized, with no IT skills required. The CFO's added value clearly lies in analyzing data and making strategic decisions.
