Highlights from the end-of-2023 EMAclub, the evening dedicated to EMASPHERE customers and partners.
About twice a year, EMASPHERE customers and partners can enjoy an enriching evening dedicated entirely to them. It is called the EMAclub, and on November 30 it was a chance to discover the inspiring journeys of entrepreneurs, attend a product session and much more.
"Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end," as the great British artist John Lennon so rightly said. Didier Engels, CEO of the company ewg, opened his talk at this EMAclub with that quote. It gave him the opportunity to share the ups and downs of his captivating family business story: from France's postwar boom years and the growth of the '70s to the "Kodak effect" of the early 2000s.
Didier Engels shared his "product leadership" strategy with the audience: selling a premium product with flawless design in order to be seen as a benchmark in the door and window market.
Next, investor Antoine Duchateau shared his professional experience and talked about the value of having a chairman in a company. "It is a role in which I support and advise the CEO, but it is always up to the CEO and their team to make things happen for the company. I am only there to ask open questions, challenge and encourage," he explained.
He also shared his perspective as a business angel and opened up about how he decides whether or not to invest in a company.
"I go by feel. It is always a risk; it is not an exact science. It comes down to clicking with the founders I meet. I like to see a motivated team with a leader. I do not trust a lone individual who comes to me to talk about their project. I like to see a team behind them."
The evening continued with a product session, as at every EMAclub. The Customer Success Managers took the opportunity to review the latest improvements and new features of the EMASPHERE platform, such as faster data imports and a new design for our dashboard!
To round everything off, an EMAwards ceremony celebrated the most loyal users of the EMASPHERE software.
