The challenge
Despite its success, it had become increasingly difficult for the co-founders to have an accurate and detailed view of the company’s profitability and to understand the impact of each cost center.

Implementing reliable, automated reporting: before and after EMAsphere

“I used to spend at least half a day gathering all the data, it was very tedious. And unfortunately, I wasn’t the only one affected. Every month, each department had to retrieve and send its own data."
Every month, Alain Etienne consolidated marketing, logistics, payroll, and sales data into Excel. This manual work was time-consuming due to the many different data sources. -
“When we organized an event like a team building, we had to remember to add it manually to our model. Sometimes, expenses were missing, which made it hard to know our actual results.”
This process was both time-consuming and error-prone — certain expenses were often forgotten because the Excel model didn’t account for them. As a result, management couldn’t fully trust the reports presented. -
“Our goal was to automate as much of the reporting process as possible and ensure that all the information was included.”
To avoid outdated reports and inconsistent data sources, Alain Etienne chose EMAsphere. Within two weeks, the solution was implemented and ready for use by the Kazidomi team. -

Turning accounting data into a management tool

“Accounting was maintained to produce legal documents, but it wasn’t a decision-making tool for us.”
Originally, Kazidomi’s accounting wasn’t analytical, limiting financial insights. With EMAsphere, the company decided to implement analytical accounting within its Odoo software. -
“Now I have a full business view. I can instantly spot if an invoice is in the wrong account or doesn’t make sense. I share feedback with accounting and ensure consistency.”
Connected to Odoo, EMAsphere automatically extracts and transforms financial data into management KPIs, giving Kazidomi full control of its financial information and improving collaboration between finance and accounting. -
“Even before making decisions, I can understand our business based on real numbers. I mainly track the income statement, and our profitability trend is my main focus.”
Thanks to the drill-down feature, which allows users to explore an indicator down to the journal entry level, Kazidomi now enjoys a detailed view of its costs to analyze them more effectively. -
“EMAsphere is very useful for our logistics manager, he gets a detailed view of our delivery costs and tracks their evolution over time.”
As a distributor, logistics costs make up a significant share of Kazidomi’s expenses. From its Brussels-based warehouse, the company ships all orders to Belgium and France with the help of logistics providers. EMAsphere enables them to compare results with previous months and determine where to focus their efforts. -
“For example, we can see the number of orders per employee or compare personnel costs versus the number of orders. The platform helps us analyze our performance, decide whether we’re satisfied, and take the necessary actions.”
