Avineon Tensing automates its consolidated reporting with EMASPHERE

With offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, France and the UK, among other countries, Avineon Tensing was doing its reporting in Excel. Rather than Power BI, it chose EMASPHERE, connected to Exact Online, to consolidate its entities across euros, dollars and pounds sterling.

Consolidated reporting: Avineon Tensing chooses EMASPHERE over a BI tool

Avineon Tensing has offices around the world. Its biggest challenge was to consolidate data from its different entities efficiently into clear reports in the right currencies. Avineon Tensing connects Exact Online to EMASPHERE.

  • Reporting was still done in Excel, which took a lot of time. We had considered moving to a reporting platform like Power BI but, when we discovered EMASPHERE, we immediately saw how well it met our company’s needs. On top of that, it integrates seamlessly with Exact Online.

Multi-currency consolidation and drill-down

Avineon Tensing operates in the Netherlands, Belgium, France and the United Kingdom, among other countries. EMASPHERE’s features make consolidated reporting easier. The multi-currency module handles different currencies without errors, whether euros, dollars or pounds sterling.

For Avineon Tensing, Power BI meant a complex tool to learn and a slow, costly implementation. EMASPHERE proved easy to get started with, without any specific IT skills: connected to Exact Online, it automatically structures the data into dashboards, charts and KPIs.

Stefan De Smedt, Director of Finance and Administration, explains: “As soon as we see a figure that doesn’t add up, we can understand the problem using the drill-down features, which take you down to the detailed data. That’s really one of EMASPHERE’s strengths: being able to trace financial data all the way back to the accounting entries. With Excel, it’s much more complicated.”
