Mutual Logistics runs every executive committee report on EMASPHERE
Mutual Logistics has built a competitive, sustainable logistics model that combines the agility of a family business with the strength of an international group. The group has around 1,400 employees in France and Italy.
Moving away from Excel to save time
Naïma Chalh, CFO of Mutual Logistics, explains: “Before, I managed lots of Excel spreadsheets, with countless tabs, complex analytics and separate accounts for each site.”
What was missing was clear reporting, published earlier, automated and centralized to speed up analysis. “I used to spend a huge amount of time just before each monthly executive committee meeting making sure the files were perfectly presentable.”
Even before the demo, one point won her over: EMASPHERE “is a tool built by CFOs for CFOs.”
Custom dashboards in a few days
The first step was to connect Sage. “What’s great about EMASPHERE is the number of connectors available. Thanks to Plug & Play, we get reports with ready-to-use KPIs in a few days.”
Mutual Logistics then added its own custom dashboards: “Our income statement is highly customized because some indicators are particularly important to us.”
“During the implementation, I was talking to finance people, not IT people. So setting up the custom dashboards was really fast and reliable!” Naïma built the simpler elements herself after the training and handed the more complex dashboards to EMASPHERE consultants, who come from a finance background.
Operational data at the heart of reporting
Beyond financial reporting, Mutual Logistics consolidates its operational data: “We combined the data by adding employee time tracking and our transport and warehousing software. We use automated file exports and imports for that.”
“I bring the operational data into EMASPHERE, which lets us calculate things like average revenue per parcel.”
Naïma now presents all her reporting to the executive committee in EMASPHERE, including budget comparisons and forecasts: “The Chairman and the whole executive committee appreciate how readable the tool is.”
